Forefront Identity Manager (formerly ILM “2”) changes the current state of identity management by providing powerful administrative and end user self-service capabilities through its FIM Service and Portal.
IT professionals are given more tools to solve day-to-day tasks such as delegating administration and creating workflows for common identity management tasks. In addition, Forefront Identity Manager is built on a .NET and WS-* based foundation for developers to build more customized and extensible solutions.
Forefront Identity Manager 2010 (FIM 2010) is an update and rebranding of Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 (ILM 2007). Forefront Identity Manager 2010 includes all the features of Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 plus a web service and a portal that can be used to manage users, groups, credentials and policies
If you are on this Web page you are ahead of the curve as we are now delivering the Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager 2010 training courses which are designed to equip users, consultants and developers with the knowledge they need to maximize the potential of Forefront Identity Manager 2010.
SQLSoft+ and Oxford Computer Group (OCG), in partnership, have trained 1000s of professionals in the use of ILM (more students than any other provider in the world), and have already trained 100s of professionals in the use of FIM. OCG wrote the Foundation course for FIM 2010 (see below), and is the exclusive provider of the Advanced Consultant course (a developer course will be available later in 2010).
Which of these classes should you take?

Upgrading Skills: If you have already take the MS-2731 and you just want to upgrade your skills, you would take the A-504 if you plan to stay with Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 and the A-515 if you plan to move to Forefront Identity Manager 2010. Note that 2731 (or equivalent knowledge) is an absolute pre-requisite of this course.
If you are new to Forefront Identity Manager 2010 (and Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007), the A-520 Forefront Identity Manager 2010 Foundation Course is your starting point. From there you can go to A-521, A-522 (developer - still in production), or the Certificate Management course (expected to be available from Microsoft some time in 2010).
